Flemish giants take after their name; they are giants but very friendly. Flemish has very large bones and is very strong. Because of their large bones they are not considered a commercial bred. My Flemish Giants, Max (my big teddy bear) love to be picked up and jump into my arms and makes a great pillow. However, they are very heavy. Due to their weight Flemish can NOT be housed in wire cages. Flemish are prone to sore hocks if kept in wire cages.
